This CCTV Privacy Policy explains how The Evolv Collection (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses closed circuit television (CCTV) systems across our premises.

Bresand Leisure Ltd (trading as The Evolv Collection) is the data controller responsible for your personal data. Where necessary, personal data may be shared within this group for operational or administrative purposes. All group companies comply with this Privacy Policy. We operate CCTV cameras in public areas across our venues, including entrances, dining areas, bars, reception areas, external spaces (such as terraces or courtyards), and office areas. Some locations may also use body-worn cameras operated by external security providers.

 

Clear signage is in place to inform individuals that CCTV is in operation.

We collect:

  • Visual images (e.g. facial features, movements)
  • Behaviour and actions within our premises
  • Audio recording (where installed)

We use CCTV footage for the following purposes:

  • Profile Protection (our appointed security provider, where applicable)
  • Law enforcement or government agencies if requested and legally require
  • Insurers or legal advisors where necessary for claims or investigations

All third parties are contractually obligated to protect your data and comply with UK GDPR.

 

  1. Retention Periods

 

We retain CCTV footage for up to 30 days. Footage may be retained for longer if required for an ongoing investigation or legal claim.

 

  1. International transfers

 

All CCTV footage is stored securely within the UK. If in the future footage is transferred outside the UK or EEA, appropriate safeguards will be put in place.

 

  1. Your Rights

 

You have rights under data protection law, including:

 

  • The right to request access to footage featuring you (subject to verification and the rights of others)
  • The right to object to processing where you believe it impacts your rights and freedoms

 

Please note, we may refuse a request where disclosing footage would compromise the rights of others or security operations. We may offer blurring where appropriate to protect third-party identities.

 

  1. Children’s Data

 

Our CCTV systems are not intended to specifically monitor children. However, children may be incidentally recorded as part of normal CCTV operations in public spaces.
